Miami Beach vs North Miami Beach

Miami Beach is more of a vacation spot!! Easy access to everything kosher!!! Might be more expensive tho not sure..

Nothing in those areas of Miami are too far a drive so if you’re not staying for shabbos you can always drive from on community to the other. Miami is more vacationy and tourist friendly and north Miami is just where most of the community lives

Stayed in Aventura last year. Look up “Aventura Yacht Club” on a site called VRBO (it’s like AirBnb) for an apartment. Loved the area but the pool is mixed swimming so the boys never could use it:(

Yes, absolutely! Plenty of kosher food to buy there. As far as shuls, we usually like to have a shul pretty close to where we stay so it’s not a long walk on Shabbat.
You’d have to ask around about minyanim locations. Also, Dansdeals is advertising a sale on tickets to Florida if you want to book tickets. Good Luck!

Rachel, You can also check out Bal harbour. It is more high end, they have amazing restaurants. There is a St regis, Ritz carlton and simpler places as well prob about 250 a night (the other 2 are about 600-900. There is the most high-end mall there. Pretty Fun!
Miami beach is def. the best choice but there may be a zika problem….Sunny isles, aventura, Bal harbour are “safer” i think North miami beach as well.

they are pretty close to each other so if you stay in Miami you can still go to North Miami…

I always stay in Miami Beach- theyre only like 40 min away from each other. I like to stay in apartment in Tower 41 cause I don’t like idea of being in a small hotel room on Shabbos. Beyond by Shemtov’s is a good place to eat; dairy, good food. Also Bagel Time is a bagel store where you can pick up breakfast, lunch before heading out…. All these places walking distance from basic area where ppl stay.

Just want to point out that before you stay in hotel on high floor over Shabbos- find out about Elevator and if its permissible to use on Shabbos. My friend stayed in Fountain Blue 19th floor and said “everyone uses elevator on shabbos”. Sudddenly on Shabbos she noticed that light turns on in elevator when you come in!! she ended up staying stuck in her room for the whole Shabbos!
So do your homework!
