With the warmer weather finally coming out on the east coast my kids like playing outside, however I cant be outside with them the whole evening because I have things to do inside I live in a jewish neighborhood , but there are some non jewish people who live near me too.
What would you say is an age old enough to be outside alone?

I think an 8 year old is an appropriate age. Their smart enough to know and understand to stay away and not get into trouble

Hmmm its hard to know every child is different; you might have a 7 year old who isn’t so mature and you wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving outside , but your neighbor might have a 6 year old who is mature and is smart enough to know whats suspicious and what to stay away from…So i would say that you need to know your kids and what there capable of. regardless of the age i would suggest going to check up on your kids every 5-15 minutes

I dont feel comfortable with children being outside alone i think its unsafe no matter how mature a child may be in my neighborhood two or three moms watch the children every evening and we rotate every day which moms will be outside keeping an eye on the neighborhood kids.

It all depends on the neighborhood if there are other people outside or is it just going to be your kids outside i wouldn’t feel comfortable with them being alone but if there are a whole bunch of kids and some moms/nanny/tanagers/dads then i would be okay with it.
