Since we moved into our house 3 yrs ago there had always been one room that was never complete. But now that my youngest is almost ready to transition to a bed (in other words not really ready because he will prob jump out of it and never sleep) we decided to get things rolling.
When it comes to decorating I never have a finished picture before I begin. I start with one main item and work my way from there!
So the first big purchase was the blue velvet platform beds with nailhead detailing and I used that as the springboard for the rest of the room.
So I chose a metal night table/dresser and a coordinating toy trunk to go with the metal nail heads and chose industrial-looking sconces that brought all of that together!
We framed vintage car art from amazon and I love how it makes the room have an overall car theme like a luxe auto-body shop.
The finishing touch is the charcoal linen, from Aurabelle designs, which really ties the room together.
The square pattern really brings out our checkered accent wall and the bold accent pillows bring in that pop of blue!
So if you have a room that needs some TLC, just go for it and remember you don’t need a full vision to start!
