My 9 month old breaks out in a red rash almost every time she eats food, I’ve considered taking her to an allergist but have heard that it is not accurate until the baby is a year old. Has anyone tried it out anyway?

    Call your pediatrician.
    1. They will guide you to the right allergist
    2. They might tell you to wait

Some say under 7 has some strange risk of “anaphylaxis” some don’t test before 1 some say after 6 months – it is ok…
Not sure i really helped out here.

I have heard that under 11 months allergy testing is not always accurate however that doesn’t mean you can’t try on the chance tht you do find out there is an allergy(meaning to say a negative result might not be true but a positive one probably is)

I find that now a lot of food is made with food coloring or with dyes that can have. Big effect of kids my niece breaks out everything she eats anything with dyes I’m the. So maybe stay away from processed food

Just took my 5 month old to a great allergist referred by my Dr. She tested positive for numerous things, she can grow out of the allergy but in the meantime has terrible rashes and eczema. We are going to remove those foods from diet and hope her skin clears up, youre welcome to pm me for info. Good luck!
