Kids | Jewish Videos vs Sesame street

I used to let PBS- but decided I don’t want my kids exposed to non Jewish culture and ideas- like even with pbs there are episodes about holidays etc.. I also felt that it will lead to different shows, movies etc.

I invested in Jewish movies and can not be happier! I bought the full Agent Emes series! And the Torah treasures videos- Bella Bracha/ mitzvah boulevard…….Shmuel kunda Baruch makes a Simcha DVD…. it wasn’t cheap but so worth it!!!

Honestly I don’t see any harm in showing your kids cartoon videos they are very educational and keep the kids quite if course it’s not something I allow all day but when I let them watch I’m okay with it being pbs

I think it depends on the school you are sending your kids to- if they are going to go to school and talk about big bird and the other kids in the class don’t know who big bird is then I dint think your child should be watching sesame street (because the kids in your childless class will go home asking their parents for big bird and its not fair to the parents who don’t want their kids exposed.) however if they are in a school where some of the kids watch sesame street then go rite ahead!

You do what’s beat for your kids and your budget there is nothing wrong with pbs there are amazing lessons that can b learned
