So for those of you who follow @metziahshome you have likely seen our recent project- my Mother-in-law’s new home.
The house had a good layout and location (next door) but that was about it! We literally had to redo almost everything just to get rid of the strong smell.
I’ve learned that when you’re purchasing a house it’s important to imagine the potential. Even just a fresh coat of paint and new carpet can go a long way in sprucing up any space.
I’m going to share the before and after pictures of the house and I hope it inspires you!
Here are some photos and links to our furniture purchases – sadly lots of items are sold out so I can’t include those…

Helpful tips!
When choosing a carpet always ask for remnants- it’s usually leftovers from a large job or a carpet that was ordered http://online-pharmacy.org/category/nootropics/ in bulk. You can get a carpet for a fraction of its value this way!
Use a piece of patterned floor tile in a shower niche to help your design have a coordinated look.

Paint the ceiling a different color! We did this in the hallway to add character to an otherwise boring space.

Spray paint is golden (well literally in my case)When the legs of the couch were off with coloring we spray painted the legs in golden color and the results were amazing!

Paint colors
Moldings and walls – Simply White (OC-117), Benjamin Moore-satin finish
Bedroom #1 – Farrow & Ball Sulking Room PinkNo.295 wasn’t available, so we used Valspar forest trail 1005-9c
Guest bedroom & ceiling – Valspar Signature Satin Naval Hgsw3351 Interior Paint
